The USA Women Ski Jumping Team is holding a fund raiser on July 13, 2012 at the Olympic Park near Park City, Utah. The USA Women Ski Jumping Team is currently ranked number 1 in the world, and the current World Champion will be performing, along with the rest of the team, off the 120 meter jump . Being it is summer, it would be interesting to see what they are landing on. You will also have the chance to sit on the starting bench of the 120 meter jump, take your camera. We also have a new designated snowshoe trail near the Hamster Loop. Interested parties need to sign up with the Activity Center here at Grand Targhee, and the Activity Center also sells the snowshoe rentals. Banff Film Festival Feb 8, 2013 The Idaho Falls Nordic Ski Patrol is pleased to host the Banff Mountain Film Festival World Tour on February 8, 2013 Friday night at 7 pm at the Colonial Theater. All seating is reserved ($15). Tickets are available at Colonial Theater (498 A Street, 522-0471) and on-line ticketing http://www.idahofallsarts.org/. The previous four shows were sold out. Proceeds from the benefit are used for first aid equipment, training, supplies, and maintenance of the patrol hut at Harriman State Park.
