Use the skiers code to ensure your safety and others on the slopes.
1. Always stay in control, and be able to stop or avoid other people or objects.
2. People ahead of you have the right of way, it is your responsibility to avoid them
3. You must not stop where you obstruct a trail, or are not visible from above.
4. Whenever starting downhill or merging into a trail, look uphill and yield to others.
5. Always use devices to prevent runaway equipment.
6. Observe all posted signs and warnings, Keep off closed trails and out of closed areas.
7. Prior to using any lift, you must have the knowledge and ability to load and unload safely.

Idaho Falls Ski Club skis Switzerland

Snowshoe rental discount at Grand Targhee
Idaho Falls Ski Club members get a $5 snowshoe rental (retail $15) with their IF Ski Club Card
Naturalist snowshoe tours are currently Wednesday through Sundays at 1:00pm (soon to be 7 days.week), and although the tours are FREE, the snowshoe rental has a cost. We also have a new designated snowshoe trail near the Hamster Loop. Interested parties need to sign up with the Activity Center here at Grand Targhee, and the Activity Center also sells the snowshoe rentals.
Banff Film Festival Feb 8, 2013
The Idaho Falls Nordic Ski Patrol is pleased to host the Banff Mountain Film Festival World Tour on February 8, 2013 Friday night at 7 pm at the Colonial Theater. All seating is reserved ($15). Tickets are available at Colonial Theater (498 A Street, 522-0471) and on-line ticketing http://www.idahofallsarts.org/. The previous four shows were sold out. Proceeds from the benefit are used for first aid equipment, training, supplies, and maintenance of the patrol hut at Harriman State Park.
