NORDIC TRIPS — GENERAL INFORMATION

The Idaho Falls Ski Club organizes many great nordic skiing trips.  We encourage you to take a look at the individual trip descriptions for details and information.

  Are all the trips sponsored or subsidized? No.  While each trip is organized and coordinated by a club member, only those requiring group commercial transporation, lift tickets, lodging, or lessons are subsidized.  Many trips use car pools, and trails without charges.  Check each trip description for its particular details.

Are all trips only for nordic skiers?  No. Several trips are taken to ski areas with alpine lifts and nordic trails.  See the details on each trip page.

Am I restricted to only the nordic trips if I ski nordic.  No.  All members are welcome to participate in any of our trips.  Please contact the trip coordinator for details if they are not provided in the trip description.

How can I become involved in the work parties and preparations for our nordic areas?  Please contact our Nordic Area Coordinator Norm Kramer (522-8677).   Many hours are spent each Summer and Fall to prepare our nordic areas for winter.  We would love to have more help and we welcome yours.
