Cost: $13 per member (includes lift ticket and lesson)
The club first started taking ski trips to this area in January 2001. The objective was to provide families and individuals with a very inexpensive trip that would appeal to beginners, intermediate, and advanced members.
Pomerelle is known for heavy snowfalls and light powder. They also have exceptional tree skiing, excellent groomed runs, and a dedicated snowboard area. The ski area is larger than Kelly Canyon and at nearly the same altitude as Targhee; therefore they are the first area in Idaho to open and the last to close. Normally they have more snow than Targhee and it comes earlier (lots of snow before Dec). They operate a double and triple chairlift and a free beginner’s rope tow.
Transportation for the trip will be individually or by carpool. To get to the resort, travel toward Twin Falls on interstate 1-84 to the Declo/ Albion exit, #216. From there go 25 miles south (2mi. south of Albion) and follow the signs. Click for map.
I will hand out ski club identifiers, tickets, and lesson vouchers in the resort cafeteria starting before 9 A.M. The lessons start shortly after the hill opens so you should be ready. If you're late, your tickets and vouchers will be in the resort office until noon. I’m sorry, children 6 yrs. and younger are not eligible for this discount package (resort policy).
