48245.JPG

DAY #1:  SATURDAY, 1/26/08

See the Idaho Winter Olympics!  On this same day, the 26th, Pebble Creek is hosting this fun family event.  Races, a Snow Ball dance, Torchlight Parade... all will be going on through the day and into the evening.  All skiers and boarders are invited!  Come join the fun!  It's only $12 to ski for the day and to also enjoy all the events.  For more information on the Olympic events and to sign up for the race, call: Jerahlyn Whitworth and Stefan Berkel, (208) 775-4452

Stay at the Cotton Tree for only $69 for a standard 1 or 2 queen room, or $89 for a studio that sleeps 4 to 6 people.  Hot tubs are open 24 hours.  Rates include a hot buffet breakfast too.  For room reservations, call 1 800 662-6886.  The group name is "Pebble Creek Snow Ball"

Vouchers for $7 off the regular lift ticket rates are available in Idaho Falls for skiing on Sunday the 27th.

DAY #2:   SATURDAY, 2/23/08

Coordinator:  Jim Wilson  (208) 524-2085

Reservation Deadline: None

Subsidized Cost:

  • All Area Lift Ticket: $12 per member
  • 1st Time Beginners (Age 10 & up): $12  (includes Aspen Lift Pass, Equipment Rental, and Ski or Board Lesson)

IFSC will be having two day trips to Pebble Creek on Saturday, January 26, and February 23rd, 2008.  The prices are lower than we’ve had in years! The whole-mountain lift ticket will be $12, a special price that you claim by presenting your IFSC card at the ticket office.  The Aspen (beginner’s hill) package, including lift ticket for Aspen, rentals and first-time lesson also costs $12.  But you must be on the hill by 9:30 am to participate in the lesson.

Pebble Creek has a nationwide reputation for exciting and challenging slopes (voted #1 by two snowboarding magazines) with 52 runs within the 750 lift-served acres.  Improvements include major explosive efforts to remove rocks on Upper Max Out, brush cleared with some tree removal to open up new gladed routes down through the trees, plus, new and wider cat tracks to access the runs at the top or for a leisurely ski down from the top.  With the same vertical drop as Targhee at less than half the cost, Pebble has half the travel time from Idaho Falls.
